Usos de "WANT TO"

El verbo "want" se usa para expresar deseos o intenciones. Equivale al Español "querer" o "desear". Veamos algunos ejemplos:

I want to become a good professional
Quiero llegar a ser un buen profesional

They want to get some money from the bank
Ellos quieren sacar un poco de dinero del banco

She wants to go to the mall this afternoon
Ella quiere ir al mall esta tarde

We want to study medicine next year
Queremos estudiar medicina el pròximo año

My friend wants to attend a good concert
mi amigo quiere asistir aun buen concierto

Tarea sugerida: Ejercita haciendo una pregunta adecuada para cada afirmaciòn. Debes usar WHEN , WHERE , O WHAT al inicio de cada una de ellas. ejp: "What does our country want ?

Nota: Observa que el auxiliar DOES o DOESN'T solo se usa cuando hablas de "èl" o de "ella". En inglès, cuando aparece HE SHE O IT o uno de sus equivalentes (tercera persona singular). En cambio, con el resto de las personas, debes usar DO o DON'T, segùn se trate de pregunta o de negaciòn. Observa con atenciòn en los ejemplos ya leìdos. No olvides que en las afirmativas, la tercera persona singular agrega una letra "-s" al verbo. wants

Las "question words" se usan cuando quieres preguntar o consultar acerca de algo, para obtener alguna informaciòn especìfica. Algunos ejemplos:

¿què comes en las mañanas?

When does Robert go to classes?
¿cuàndo va a clases Robert?

Where does your friend study?
¿dònde estudia tu amigo?

What do they want to do?
¿què quieren hacer ellos?

¿A dònde viajan tus padres en verano?

When does Susan come to Santiago?
¿cuàndo viene a Santiago Susan?

Recuerda: WHAT = QUÈ
WHEN = CUÀNDO
WHERE = DÒNDE

Nota: recuerda que el auxiliar DOES en la pregunta y el auxiliar DOESN'T en la negaciòn, se usan cuando hablamos de "èl" o de "ella". En Inglès, cuando el sujeto sea HE SHE o IT, o cualquiera de sus equivalentes. Si es otro sujeto diferente, entonces usamos DO para las preguntas y DON'T para las negaciones. Revisa las oraciones ya leìdas para comprobar esta regla.

Likes and dislikes

Cuando quieres decir lo que te gusta o te desagrada, hay formas diferentes de decirlo.
Algunas de ellas son:

I like playing tennis at school
me gusta jugar tenis en la escuela

He likes studying english everyday
A èl le gusta estudiar Inglès todos los dias

We like reading good books
Nos gusta leer buenos libros

Tambièn podemos expresar dos ideas a un mismo tiempo:

I don't like French; I prefer English
No me gusta el francès; prefiero el Inglès

Mary doesn't like coffee; she prefers milk
A Mary no le gusta el cafè; ella prefiere el tè

Peter doesn't like football; he prefers tennis
A Peter no le gusta el football; èl prefiere el tenis

The students don't like classes; they prefer holidays
A los estudiantes no les gustan las clases; ellos prefieren las vacaciones

Women don't like cars; they prefer clothes
A las mujeres no les gustan los autos; ellas prefieren las ropas

Nota: Observa que a veces usas el auxiliar DO , y en otras ocasiones debes usar DOES
Usas DOES o DOESN'T cuando el sujeto sea tercera persona singular; o sea, cuando hablamos de "èl" o de "ella" (HE SHE IT) en el resto de las personas, usas siempre DO o DON'T. Revisa con atenciòn los ejemplos que ya leìste.
